Bocas Del Toro

Located on the north Caribbean coast of Panama is the magical paradise of Bocas del Toro. This natural paradise extends from the Talamanca mountain ranges to the Caribbean islands of Bocas del Toro. Bocas Town is the capital of the province here and is located on the southern tip of Isla Colon.

The Talamanca mountain range is home to some of the most extensive primary tropical rainforests of Central America. The islands include Panama’s first-ever national marine park.

This Central American destination has 9 main islands, thousands of islets and cays, dense primary mountain cloud rainforest, and expansive mangrove areas This makes it one of Panama’s top ecotourism destinations.

Because of its immense diversity of coral and marine fauna, the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute settled in the archipelago. It was also declared a Hope Spot by Mission Blue, for the restoration of coral reefs. 

The archipelago of Bocas is a reflection of the Afro-Caribbean culture. On the streets you’ll hear calypso and reggae rhythms, you’ll perceive the essence of its cuisine and you’ll even hear guari-guari– a language that is a mixture of English, French and Spanish, very distinctive of its culture.
