The Deck

Sea Pearl’s solid teak decks wrap around the spacious centre-cockpit. Having a centre cockpit not only gives a great, higher-up vantage point to everyone on deck, but also provides great safety away from an open stern, especially when in a following sea. The large cockpit has plenty of space for the crew to work those winches, sheets & furling lines when we are under sail, or relax when we are not.

Sea Pearl has a staysail inboard of the hydraulic furling genoa and a hydraulic in-mast furling mainsail. All of her sails can be easily controlled from the safety of the centre cockpit, right next to the helm. Skipper Paolo will give you the confidence to take the wheel and experience for yourself the thrill of helming a 56-foot Ocean- going Bluewater Cruiser. Or be on watch as the autopilot does the heavy lifting, following the course set by you and the Skipper.

The cockpit table has two folding leaves which extend to accommodate six diners and the feast we have prepared together in the galley, or on the gas BBQ.

Shade is always provided by the Bimini and detachable sunshades. We continue to take full advantage of the cockpit, even if there are squally days or nights, as the sun shades can easily be swapped for the rain curtains, giving full rain cover.

Whenever you feel the need to take a swim, you can simply jump off the rear swimming platform into the irresistible crystal-clear waters we have just sailed through. There is also a freshwater deck shower to wash the salt off before drying out on the foredeck cushions.

Guard rails wrap around the whole deck, and if you are feeling adventurous underway, we have inboard and outboard jackstays to attach your life jacket to, for anyone who wants to help setup the pole or Cruising Chute on the foredeck.

The oversized 55-kilogram Rocna anchor and 100 metres (300 feet) of anchor chain, always ensures we have good anchor holding and a secure night’s sleep onboard.
