When you have friends, family and guests flying out to stay with you in remote places, use them as mules. It is often a great opportunity to make a quick online purchase of that replacement boat part, that greatly missed food item, or that piece of equipment that costs three times as much in the country you’re sailing in. They will be happy to bring you your much needed items in exchange for your hospitality and any payment of the excess baggage if required.
